Driver Modem O2 Zte Mf100 Update

From time to time ZTE may release new software for your dongle. By updating your dongle to the latest available software version you'll get an even better experience. You won't be able to update your dongle's software using Windows 8.

Hi, an elderly relative recently got mobile broadband dongle MF100 and asked me to have a look at it because she couldnt get it to work on her desktop. I'm not a stranger to 3g as I have T-Mobile which has great software and no punishing fees for going over the alloted monthly limit. Oshibka

I tried installing it and not only does it take about 10 minutes to install 20mb of badly written code but it immediately crashes when I try and launch it. I've uninstalled & reinstalled, cleaned up her entire pc, scanned for malware, viruses and trojans, deleted needless programs, cleaned her registry, installed the latest version of the software and downloaded a hotfix, searched for hidden (non-existent) files and it still doesnt work. This has to be the worst software I have ever tried to use. I even know what the program looks like after seeing it on someone elses pc and its uninformative and needlessly bulky and slow with simple options hidden for easy use. Her pc is only a vista 32bit, its OLD software that you should have no problem coding for now 64 bit and windows 7 are out but you dont even offer compatability for those newer versions yet. Running in compatability mode for XP doesnt work, nor does running as admin.

I dont know what else I can do to sort this mess out short of telling her to just cancel. Thanks for link, will try it - tried it and it leads to older version. Free download soniye hiriye video song shael

Plus the version i got was specific supposedly to the mf100 rather than just the make. I tried installing it on an xp laptop and it works so it seems its just old code they lifted and threw at not one but 2 entire new operating systems. I guess I could always make her pc dual boot, as if she would even know what that means. She lives in country so no hard line or cable, plus expense i dont think so, line rental is almost the price of a 3g package. I cant see the point in having a landline anymore unless solely for high speed high use internet. Basically just gaming and downloading lots of films.

I just use T-Mobile 3g now, I cant game online because of latency really (120 is maybe ok for L4d) and downlaods are limited to 1 at a time. Back when I had 20mb cable and dsl i could download 8+ at high speed. Plus between 4pm-12am its limited to no downloading or watching videos once you go over the monthly cap; but I still ahve a monthly usage of 15gb+ for only £15 a month. Unlimited net with line rental is nearly triple that. There is no wifi although it shouldnt be an issue if the coding wasnt so bad, you dont even need the dongle in wifi areas. O2 should spend less money on sean bean adverts to get customers and more on updating their awful 3g connection manager for 2006. I read somewhere it might not like virtual drives, which means a lot of programs in common use can cause this stupid dongle to stop working.

Even if I did it, the lack of wifi means it might not work. I think I might have to make a soul destroying call to customer support for her explaining why it wont work and no i dont want to go to the technical department and yes it is plugged into the usb port no please dont transfer me to a premium rate helpline manned by monkeys and oh you transfered me, awesome. On my 2yr old laptop the MF100 installs in little over 2mins so I'm not sure why you are having this problem. Also, if the software is crashing immediately then it's a compatibility issue, especially if it still happens after installing the most up-to-date one from the website. The most common compatibility issue is other MBB software/drivers or an existing o2 Connection Manager that was not correctly uninstalled before installing the new one. You say you don't want to call for reasons you listed. This is a technical issue so how could you expect the normal Mobile Customer Service to help you?
